An invertible, complex-differentiable mapping from the open disk to the disk with the vertical radial ray removed sends a polar coordinate grid to the lotus-like grid shown. This coordinate grid floats above a range of virtual mountains whose nearest range is a sine graph, whose successive ranges are partial sums converging to a continuous function that is nowhere-differentiable.
