Vivace Necklace, Rhodium

This shapely, one-of-a-kind necklace is our 3/4 by 1-3/8 in (20 by 35mm) Vivace pendant, but made from rhodium-plated brass rather than from silver, and paired with an 18-inch sterling silver French rope chain with lobster-claw clasp.

Soap films present elegant saddle shapes. The catenoid, a surface of rotation, and the helicoid, a ruled surface made entirely of lines, have been known to mathematicians since the 18th century. The catenoid and helicoid are united in a one-parameter family of soap films. Our lively, ascending spiral is the halfway point.
